From one of the pastor blogs I follow daily, Frank Chiapperino points out that "many Christians feel like they are not allowed to pray for what they want. Asking God to expand our financial resources is off limits. Praying for our own personal gain… out of the question. Since when did prayer come with so many rules attached to it?"
